Together for transformation

COP29 brings a renewed focus on transformative solutions to address today’s urgent climate challenges. With growing global commitment from non-State actors, our shared aim is to advance resilience, equitable finance, and scalable net zero and nature-positive solutions for a thriving, inclusive world.

At COP29, we’re driving action through these core priorities:

Accelerating net zero targets with urgency by rapidly scaling up sector-wide efforts through the Race to Zero, where over 14,500 members have committed to ambitious, science-based targets.

Strengthening resilience to protect vulnerable communities through the Race to Resilience, which aims to improve the resilience of over 3 billion people by 2030.

Mobilizing equitable finance to support inclusive climate action, focusing on adaptation funding and initiatives that bridge gaps for communities most affected by climate impacts, while enabling nature-positive and gender-responsive investments aligned with NDCs.

Centering nature in climate action to protect and restore ecosystems like mangroves, coral reefs, and forests, promoting nature-based solutions that boost resilience and accelerate mitigation.

Transforming food systems to support climate goals by promoting, with help from the Food Systems Call to Action, regenerative agriculture, sustainable urban food systems, and other initiatives that align food security with climate and biodiversity priorities.

Empowering local leadership and inclusion, showcasing our newly launched series Impact Makers to spotlight grassroots leaders, youth, Indigenous Peoples, and local actors who are advancing equitable and impactful climate solutions globally.

Advancing innovation for resilience with support for scalable technologies and nature-based solutions across sectors.

This year’s focus is on uniting these priorities for collective impact, guiding our progress towards COP30 and a healthier, fairer future.
