Lina Dabbagh

Lina Dabbagh, leads the Climate Champions CSO engagement. Previously she worked as Head of Policy Advocacy for Climate Action Network (CAN) the biggest Civil Society Network working on Climate Change with over 1600 members in 130 countries and focal point for the ENGO Constituency in the UNFCCC.

In her role Lina facilitated the development of civil society strategies in the UNFCCC and other international fora (in line with member priorities and opportunities for the year); and coordinated the development of CAN policy positions and submission documents. 

Lina is passionate about ensuring transparency, participation and access to  information to achieve just and equitable climate action. Lina holds a master’s in Regional Science of Latin America from University Cologne and a Postgraduate degree from Universidad Autonoma in Mexico. 

Lina was born and raised in Germany and moved to Mexico after graduating. She has two kids, a husband and a dog who keep her busy. She loves traveling, cooking, reading and animals.
